PED 174 - SHOOTING AND FIREARMS SAFETY (1 CR.)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Presents the basic techniques of shooting and firearms safety for both hunting and sport shooting. Emphasizes the selection and care of equipment, proper shooting forms, and personal safety. Lecture 1 hour.  Laboratory 1 hour. Total 2 hours per week.

GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE:

To provide the student with knowledge regarding firearms and to provide instruction regarding firearms safety and responsibility. To make student aware of legal and moral obligations regarding the use of firearms.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
