MUS 155 - APPLIED MUSIC-WOODWINDS (1-2 CR.)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Teaches the fundamentals of the woodwind instruments. Studies the standard repertoire. Prerequisite: division approval. One or two half-hour lessons per week. Four to eight hours practice (laboratory) required.

GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE

This course is designed to provide the student with individual instruction in flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, or saxophone.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The student will develop musical techniques and musicianship through the study of appropriate exercises and repertoire.
