HMS 225 - FUNCTIONAL
FAMILY INTERVENTION (3 CR.)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Provides an understanding
of functions and dysfunctions within the family. Emphasizes the development
of effective skills through an interpersonal/interactional approach to
family intervention. Lecture 3 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
To prepare students
to be more aware of the needs of families from a variety of socio-cultural
and socio-economic backgrounds. Students will be able to use a variety
of approaches and methods for working with these families from diverse
backgrounds.
