FRE 111 - CONVERSATION
IN FRENCH I (3 CR.)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Emphasizes the spoken language, stressing fluency and correctness of structure, pronunciation and vocabulary. Lecture 3 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
This course provides practice in speaking and understanding French, with emphasis upon developing fluency, increasing vocabulary and improving sentence structure.
ENTRY LEVEL COMPETENCY
The prerequisite for this course is FRE 102 - "Beginning French II" or equivalent (or permission of instructor).
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course students should be able to initiate, sustain and close conversations in a range of circumstances and covering a variety of topics. Students will improve their pronunciation.
