COURSE DESCRIPTION
Teaches computer application in surveying and land development. In this application course, students learn how to utilize computer as a device to produce accurate and efficient drawings as opposed to basic surveying techniques. Lecture 2 hours. Lab oratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
To familiarize the student with different applications of the computer as a tool in surveying and site analysis in order to improve accuracy, compile data which will interface with other pertinent software, and reduce expended time to provide a set of working drawings.
ENTRY LEVEL COMPETENCIES
Competence in basic manual technical drafting as well as successful completion of the beginning CAD course. Prerequisite for this course is DRF 201 - "Computer Aided Drafting and Design I" or equivalent.
