COURSE DESCRIPTION
Offers intensive practice in comprehending and speaking Chinese, with emphasis on developing structure and fluency. Lecture 4 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
The purpose of Intermediate Chinese is to enable the student to become more proficient in speaking and understanding spoken and written Chinese in a greater variety of situations. The student earns the more complex structures of the language and at different levels of diction. He learns to read and write without recourse to translation.
