ADJ 172 - FORENSIC SCIENCE II (4 CR.)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Surveys concepts of forensic chemistry, drug identification, thin-layer
chromatographic methods, arson materials examination, important legal cases
in forensic science, expert testimony strengths and weaknesses in forensic
science, instrumentation, anthropology, crime scene reconstruction techniques.
Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
GENERAL COURSE PURPOSE
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with a greater
exposure to selected areas in forensic science while providing an in-depth
review of forensic issues in the courtroom.
