Advanced Standing Committees

The Advanced Standing Committee reviews all requests for advanced standing and develops recommendations for acceptance and course credit equivalencies in conjunction with the faculty and in accordance with college policy.

Recommendations for action are submitted to the Curriculum Committee and, if approved, to the Executive Vice President. Appointments are for staggered two-year terms. The chair of the committee is elected annually at the first meeting of the year. The committee consists of the following members:

  • Student Services Supervisor/Campus Registrar
  • Director, College Records Office
  • College Transcript Evaluator
  • Director, Tech Prep
  • 1 Dean of Students
  • 1 Division Dean
  • 3 Counselors
  • 6 Instructional Faculty (1 from each campus)
