Faculty Profile - Frankie Harris-Lyne
I graduated from the Medical Laboratory Technology program in 1984. I am a product of the College, so I know firsthand how rewarding it is to get an education at NOVA.
Ten years ago, I collaborated with my colleagues on the development of the Medical Education Campus. The faculty had a lot of input about what we wanted for this campus. It became an opportunity for us to incorporate top-of-the-line technology that could provide our students with in-depth learning to help them when they entered the field. The College provides a number of different teaching labs and a simulation room that lets our students apply the knowledge they learned to real life situations. We strive to provide an environment that is conducive to learning here at NOVA.
I use a combination of teaching styles. I’m a hands-on learner myself, so it’s really exciting to be able to see my students learn in the classroom and apply that knowledge to their labs. I love seeing my students succeed!
