Student Profile - Brian Henley
I moved to this area from New York City and wanted to find a school that was affordable. NOVA fit the criteria.
The College has become my second home. I spend a lot of time on campus due to my class schedule and all of the activities I’m involved in. There are many resources available and I like that there are many program and campus options. The environment at the Manassas Campus is really cool -- it’s a place where I can come to get some quiet study time.
As one of the largest community colleges in the nation, you’re able to find professors who are really great at what they do. They work extremely hard. It’s a privilege to be able to learn from them.
Before attending NOVA, I didn’t know a lot about stocks and trading. Studying Business Administration has given me the chance to really understand these things. I know that when it comes time for me to transfer to another college, I’ll have the foundation of knowledge that I’ll need.
After attending New Student Orientation, I remember feeling a sense of ‘new opportunities’ for myself. NOVA has given me the chance to dream big. My advice to those who are considering attending NOVA is to work hard and take advantage of all the resources available here.
