Student Profile - Gabriela Cueva
I enjoy the grounds of the Annandale Campus. Where I come from in Ecuador there aren’t many trees. Seeing the trees on campus change color with each season is amazing! The lake is my favorite go-to spot when I need to get away from it all. It’s the one place on campus where I can go to clear my mind.
The level of diversity at NOVA is a wonderful thing. I love being surrounded by people from different countries. I’m a Psychology major, so it’s interesting to be able to listen to people’s stories and their views about the world. I’m able to learn a lot about their cultures and even teach them a little about my own.
When I leave NOVA, I want to attend a four-year university. I would like to complete a bachelor’s degree program in psychology and eventually open my own practice working with children. People who are considering NOVA should know that it’s very challenging -- as long as you go to your classes and work hard, you’ll do great.
