It was easier for me to transition from high school to NOVA and then on to a four-year college. Going to school on a small campus provided me with a more rooted home community. I get to see my friends all the time. People are kind here.
The student leaders at the Manassas Campus went to a leadership conference in Virginia Beach last semester and it was an awesome experience. I got to meet student leaders from all of the other NOVA campuses. Since we have many different campuses, sometimes it's hard to feel unified, but when we went to the leadership conference we were up against other colleges and we were one … we were NOVA. The leadership conference really opened my eyes to all of the things we can do collectively. I'm excited to see what we can accomplish next semester!
Even though NOVA is smaller than most four-year schools, you can still get the best education. There are so many opportunities. You can do all the same things you can do at a four-year university.
