If you are a NOVA student, please make sure to look up your LAN account first at Lan/Web Accounts or call the Help Desk at 703.426.4141 for assistance with your LAN account/password.
If you are a student at any other VCCS college, you will use your Blackboard username and password to access your student web folder. *Note: You will need to replace the domain setting NVSTU with DIRECTORY in the instructions below! For example, UserID: DIRECTORY\UserID.
General FTP Settings
The following settings can be used for any FTP client such as Core FTP, Total Commander and Cyber Duck (Mac)
Profile Name: studentweb
UserID: NVSTU\UserID (for Windows)
NVSTU/UserID (for Mac)
Password: month of birth + date of birth + four digits of the year of birth
Dreamweaver Settings (Web Development FTP)
Core FTP Settings (Windows)
Total Commander Settings (Windows)
CyberDuck Settings (Mac)
