An emergency can occur at any time without warning. Proper planning is essential to minimize the impact of any emergency on college operations and facilities. The Office of Emergency Management was created to provide such planning by establishing policies, procedures and responsibilities that are necessary to effectively respond to an emergency.
The mission of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is to provide guidance, direction and training to the College and its faculty, staff, students, and visitors in the prevention, protection, response and recovery from all incidents or events. They also serve as a link to the federal, state and local emergency management and to public safety agencies.
