Directions for the Quantitative Reasoning Assessment (QRA)

1. Open your Internet Explorer browser.
2. Type in the URL: http://cars.jmu.edu/library in the address field.
3. When the “Adaptex” screen appears ‘click’ CONTINUE.
4. Complete the Login information:
   • Enter your first and last name
   • Use your EMPLID # where it requests your ID
   • Select your college and campus where it requests your institution code [EXAMPLE: VCCS-NVa:(your campus)]
5. Select test and enter login:
   • Following the question, “Which test would you like to take?” select NAW9VCCS
   • Enter the password VCCS
   • ‘Click’ SUBMIT
6. Read the Brief Tutorial and then ‘click’ BEGIN TEST
7. Read the instructions and then ‘click’ CONTINUE
8. As you move through the test, you will ‘click’ NEXT to move forward. If you would like
   to review a question at the end of the assessment, ‘click’ MARK FOR REVIEW before
   ‘clicking’ NEXT.
9. When you have completed the assessment, ‘click’ END the TEST. Only once you have completed the test, the results will be submitted to the QRA database.
