Academic Services

Academic Services provides leadership and coordination for the development and implementation of instructional (credit) programs. They work with administrators, faculty and staff at all NOVA campuses and with the Virginia Community College System staff. Academic services provides leadership and coordination of the following areas:

• Academic policy
• Course and curriculum development
• Course and program entry into the student information system
• Articulation with senior institutions
• Articulation with local school systems (Tech Prep)
• Dual enrollment
• Advanced standing
• Placement and basic skills assessment testing
• Content of the college Catalog, Schedules of Classes, Faculty Handbook, Adjunct Faculty Handbook and Student Handbook

Academic Services is located at the Brault Building, Room 316, 4001 Wakefield Chapel Road, Annandale, Virginia 22003.
