Curriculum Advisory Committees

Curriculum advisory committees for occupational and technical programs at Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) are an important link between NVCC and the community. Although these committees are only advisory, they perform an invaluable service to the College and can have considerable impact on future directions taken by NVCC. Curriculum advisory committees assist NVCC in the planning of new curricula and help ensure that existing programs and courses continue to provide instruction in knowledge and skills suited for the job market in northern Virginia. This service helps the College fulfill its mission.

Further information pertaining to the role of Curriculum Advisory Committees is available in a brochure, "Maintaining the Connection" and in Section 8 of the "Curriculum Procedures Manual."
