Articulation Committee

Purpose:

The Articulation Committee coordinates the dissemination of information from four-year colleges and universities to the five campuses, identifies problem areas experienced on campuses, initiates contacts with colleges and universities in order to clarify or resolve transfer problems, reviews and updates articulation agreements with colleges and universities, explores ways to provide up-to-date information to students, assures that representatives are sent to state-wide articulation meetings and related workshops sponsored by individual colleges and universities, develops methods for keeping teaching and counseling faculty informed about transfer matters, reviews information on the performance of NVCC students who have transferred, and develops strategies for the use of dissemination of that information.

The committee is appointed by the president annually for two-year staggered terms and consists of the following members:

6 Counselors (one from each campus and ELI)
6 Teaching faculty articulation representatives (one from each campus, at least one occupational/technical discipline representative)
Associate Vice President for Academic Services, Ex-Officio, Executive Secretary

The committee at the first meeting of the Academic year elects the co-chairs of the committee.
