Kristine Winner , IIDA, IDEC
Kristine Winner teaches courses in AutoCAD, drafting, commercial design and materials in the Department of Art and Interior Design, where she has worked full-time since 2000. Prior to joining NVCC, she practiced interior design in the Washington, DC area for over twenty years. During that time, she accumulated a broad range of interior architectural experience including the design, planning and execution of large-scale assignments including government and corporate office, hospitality and historic preservation projects. Ms. Winner is a graduate of Virginia Tech’s interior design program. She has served on the board of the local chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) as Treasurer, Membership Chair, Educational Forum Director and co-Chair of Continuing Education. She currently serves as the IIDA liason on the national board of the National Council for the Qualification of Lighting Professionals (NCQLP) and is on the board of the National Lighting Bureau. Ms. Winner’s wide-ranging interests led her to seek a Master’s degree in the History of Decorative Arts from Parson’s School of Design, which was awarded in May 2003.
