A book review of the book: Who Owns Native Culture by Michael F. Brown, that raises many provocative questions about group legal rights to music, art, and origin stories in relation to issues arising in the U.S. and Australia.  The reviewer concludes that the book proposes that "informal social norms of decency and respect" responsive to indigenours peoples are possible without creating "legally empowered...cultural enclaves."
