HEPROC
The Higher Education Processes Network, a community of educators who serve each other as "networking partners." You can search this database on many topics and purchase books through amazon.com.

Institute for Higher Education Policy
A nonprofit nonpartisan organization whose mission is to foster access to and quality in post secondary education.  The institute focuses on research and policy analysis, policy formulation, program evaluation, strategic planning and implementation, and seminars and colloquia.

League for Innovation in the Community College
An international service consortium committed to improving community colleges through innovation, experimentation and institutional transformation.

Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (POD Network)

Smithsonian Education Portal
The site features content from 16 Smithsonian museums, the National Zoo, and the Smithssonian's research centers.  Site is subdivided into areas for educators, families and students. Lesson plans are availabe in art and design, science and technology, history and culture, language arts, and idea labs.  Produced by the Center for Education and Museum Studies.

The Foundation Center
The Foundation Center is a nonprofit group that provides information about obtaining grants from various foundations and businesses.  the site includes a short course on grant writing (online), information about publications and CDs that can be purchased, information on training, seminars and more.

The Teacher's Guide to the U.S. Department of Education
Includes information for teachers on the resources of the U.S. Department of Education.  This site provides information on types of grants by offices, services and resources, field services, clearinghouses, publications and national educational goals.

The World Lecture Hall
A very well-known and respected site located at the University of Texas.  The World Lecture Hall offers free online course materials for both the classroom and distance learning.  All links are created by subject area.  You can also easily add your course page to the list.

The World Wide Web Virtual Library
A virtual library that catalogs educational web sites by subject and maintains index pages with links to sites.   You can search for sites also. Very comprehensive and an excellent reference tool.
