Laura Jackett uses various techniques to produce her artworks including
Polaroid Manipulation, Alternative Photographic Processes, and Bookbinding and
computer manipulation. Generally, the imagery stems from a straight black and
white negative or color slide and is treated with various photographic means
to produce an original and unique image.
Laura is an alumnus of SUNY Geneseo and Buffalo State College and is presently working on her Master of Fine Arts in Photography at RIT. She has won awards for the work she has shown internationally.
Laura has taught at various colleges including Broome, Cayuga, Genesee and Onondaga Community Colleges as well as many workshops at such places as The Smithsonian Institution and The George Eastman House.
