I practice plein-air painting and go about it in a fairly traditional way.  I scout out a location in the countryside, set up my easel and attempt to put paint on canvas in a meaningful way.  Of course, my hope is to discover some hidden natural truth.  If  I'm lucky, I will learn a little something.  So far, natural truths have eluded me.
